King’s Quest VI - Girl In The Tower

So, since I spent most of the weekend re-living the early 90s by playing Sierra On-Line games (thank you DOSBox), and since on Friday I spent more time than was probably suitable discussing King’s Quests VI and VII with Bill over twitter, a conversation in which we both seemed to remember more about this song than should ever be appropriate, I thought I may as well post it. Sorry if I’ve outed you here about this, Bill, but I couldn’t go down alone.

You were “rewarded” with this attempt at a Disney-style ballad upon completing the CD-Rom version of the game. Remember CD-Roms? Ah, the 90s.

While I was bedridden with illness, I came across this video of some guy doing a blind playthrough of King’s Quest VI and I maaaay or may not have watched it through to the game’s conclusion. It had me reliving my own frustrations and it was…nostalgic fun? After it was over, I just wanted to play it myself and get all the points I knew he had missed in order to have the ‘true’ ending. Yup. ¬_¬
